Terasense plans and intentions for terahertz events in 2020
Usually TERASENSE attends one or two exhibitions a year in terms of supporting sponsorship. 2020 has just begun and we have come up with our brief plan listing key events for this year, just as before we feel the need to share our intentions with the public.
Of course, the 45th International Conference on Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves (or IRMMW THz) will be one of them. In fact, our management views it as the central one for us as it entirely correlates with the essence of our products. IRMMW-THz 2020 will be held from the 13-18th September, 2020 in Buffalo, NY - home of Niagra Falls. It is the oldest and largest continuous forum devoted to the science and technology of long-wavelength radiation and we cannot afford skipping it.
Another event that was pre-approved is the 2020 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference (APMC 2020) that will be held at Hong Kong Science Park, Hong Kong SAR, P.R. China from the 10th to 13th of November, 2020. It is co-organized by the IEEE AP/MTT Hong Kong Chapter and Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, and technically co-sponsored by the State Key Laboratory of Terahertz and Millimeter Waves (City University of Hong Kong), and respective departments of City University of Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The latter, by the way, being our good old customer that has been using our 2D THz imaging system (Tera-1024 camera and terahertz generator) for nearly two years.
There are two other exhibitions listed in our exhibition plan for 2020, but the likelihood that we will actually be able to attend them is estimated as very low.
The European Microwave Week 2020 scheduled for 13-18 September, 2020 at Jaarbeurs Utrecht, the Netherlands.
International Microwave Symposium (IMS) scheduled to occur 21-26 June 2020 at Los Angeles California, USA. In fact, IMS is considered to be as a part of Microwave Week, a group of colocated conferences which includes the Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit Symposium (RFIC) and the Automatic Radio Frequency Techniques Group (ARFTG ).
These other two exhibitions are sort of our plan-B, which may come into effect just in case plan-A won’t work, but we hope to meet our customers anywhere or answer their question right away. Of course, we heartily invite all our colleagues and friends to visit all of these high profile events and ‘have a taste’ of our THz imaging technology.
