Summing up results of the 40th IRMMW-THz 2015 Conference/Exhibition at Honk Kong

IRMMW-THz-2015-HK-2The 40th International Conference on Infrared, Millimeter, and Terahertz Waves (IRMMW-THz 2015), that was held in Honk Kong is now over now. As always Terasese is happy to report results and share our impression of the this largest and oldest forum devoted to the science and technology of Terahertz radiation..
....IRMMW-THz conference/exhibition that is always held under the auspices of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) this time has reportedly hosted around 600 exhibitors and attendees and brought together scientists and technologists from more than 30 countries.

TeraSense exhibition booth displayed our upgraded THz imaging system TERA-1024 (32x32) and demonstrated it unique capabilities. Moreover we played our best educational / promotional video (TeraSense terahertz imaging camera and THz source) and (Terahertz body scanner), which quickly and efficiently showed how our THz technology works in both transmission and reflection mode of imaging.
...TERA-1024...IMPATT diode
It is worth while mentioning here that our sensor arrays employed for THz cameras belong to the active type of end detecting devices, and therefore require an external source of THz radiation. This is why our fully operational DEMO unit consists of 2 key elements: 1) THz imaging camera proper and 2) THz imaging source (IMPATT diode), as our

As usually our THz imaging system managed to generate very keen interest among the visitors, among which there were representatives of high profile and respectable institution, viz.

In conclusion we would like to express our appreciation to the representatives of HK Mercury Router Info Tech Ltd, (MKR Tech), our partner in China for their selfless efforts that can hardly be overestimated and their considerable input in the prepwork for this show. Feeling hopeful for the future we are confident that the efforts and time contributed by all of us will benefit both Terasese and our local distributors in getting more and more adepts to our ‘THz imaging club’.
